Getting Here is Easy
FLYING TO RENO
Flying to Catology couldn’t be simpler. Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) offers non-stop flights from major cities across the U.S., including the Northwest, Southwest, Dallas, Denver, and Chicago. Once you land, you’re just minutes from the action—a free hotel shuttle runs from the airport to Circus Circus Reno every 30 minutes.
There’s no need to rent a car or call an Uber—once you’re at the hotel, everything you need is right there.
Driving to Reno
Prefer to drive? Reno is an easy and scenic road trip from many major West and Mountain region cities!
Free parking is available in the Circus Circus covered parking garage, with a covered skywalk connecting you to the hotel.
Winter travel tip: While Reno itself doesn’t get much snow, the mountain passes—especially along I-80—can be snowy in winter. February can be clear or snowy; it is unpredictable. Watch the weather and plan to be flexible with your departure and return dates. When I-80 closes, it doesn't stay closed long, but chains are often required.
Respect the Hotel = Protect the Future of Catology and TICA
All-in-one venues that welcome cats, exhibitors, and spectators under one roof are incredibly rare—and becoming increasingly difficult to secure. Hotels take a risk when they agree to host cat shows, and they rely on us to uphold high standards of cleanliness and respect.
As exhibitors, how we treat our hotel rooms reflects on all of us. Damage, odors, or excessive mess can jeopardize not only our relationship with the venue but also our ability to hold future shows. The Catology Cat Show & Expo depends on maintaining a good reputation and a strong partnership with Circus Circus, Reno. Were it not for Circus Circus, we would not be able to host the type of event that fulfills Catology's mission to bring education, showmanship, and relationship building all under one roof.
Please review the following TICA Hotel Room Policy carefully. By booking with the Catology group rate, you agree to these terms.
Let’s work together to ensure we leave every room in great condition—so we can keep coming back and building something amazing together.
🔑 Exhibitor Highlights: TICA Hotel Room Policy
Participation Equals Agreement
If you book a hotel room using the Catology group rate, you are automatically agreeing to TICA’s Hotel Room Inspection Procedures.
You Are the Responsible Party
The person whose name is on the hotel reservation is legally considered the Responsible Party—and is financially responsible for any room damage caused by cats.
Avoid Damage That Triggers Fees
These issues can result in charges:
- Cat urine or feces in the room
- Claw marks or strong odors
- Excess litter or food outside containers
- Any other unusual mess or staining
You’ll Be Notified of Damage
If the hotel finds damage, they must notify the Catology show committee by 4:00 PM on the day you check out.
You Have the Right to Be Present
If damage is reported, the show committee and a hotel staff member will inspect the room. You can attend this inspection and note any disagreement with their findings on the report.
You Will Receive an Itemized Bill
Any repair or extra cleaning costs will be detailed. You’ll have 21 days to pay either the hotel or the club.
Unpaid Charges = Suspension
If payment isn’t made within 21 days, you’ll be reported to TICA and may be suspended under the Bad Debt policy.
Check Your Room Upon Arrival
If the room is already damaged or not clean, report it immediately to the Catology show committee. A documented inspection will protect you from being held liable.
